Mohs Micrographic Surgery (MMS)
Our Flagship Service
Mohs Micrographic Surgery (MMS) offers the highest cure rate for most cases of skin cancer. It is a microscopically-controlled excision of cancer tissues. The procedure involves the removal of abnormal tissue in successive layers with histopathological analysis and scanning of the entire undersurface in each layer through the systematic use of horizontally-cut frozen sections. Dr. Cynthia P. Ciriaco-Tan pioneered the first and only dedicated Mohs unit in the Philippines in 2003, located at St. Luke's Medical Center.
